Apple has for the first time installed a microprocessor in its new MacBook laptop that it has designed and manufactured itself. Called the M1, the processor can process up to 11 trillion operations per second. Its computational power is equal to 16 billion transistors. That's three and a half times faster than the previous MacBook.

A virtual event called One More Thing claims that the capacity of the new MacBook Air will now be double that of any commercial PC around the world. It is also the fastest MacBook in Apple's history with a unified memory architecture, integrated GPU, neural engine, and other great features.

The Apple M1 chip gives the 13 ‑ inch MacBook Pro speed and power beyond belief. With up to 2.8x CPU performance. Up to 5x the graphics speed. Our most advanced Neural Engine for up to 11x faster machine learning. And up to 20 hours of battery life - the longest of any Mac ever. It’s our most popular pro notebook, taken to a whole new level. The M1 also features our unified memory architecture or UMA. M1 unifies its high ‑ bandwidth, low ‑ latency memory into a single pool within a custom package. As a result, all of the technologies in the SoC can access the same data without copying it between multiple pools of memory. This dramatically improves performance and power efficiency. Video apps are snappier. Games are richer and more detailed. Image processing is lightning fast. And your entire system is more responsive.

It should be noted that all these features have been introduced in MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and MacMini and it will go on sale next week. The other important thing is that its battery is much higher than any MacBook and it can watch videos for up to 18 hours. On the other hand, the limit of wireless web browsing has also been increased to 15 hours.

Many changes have been made to the new MacBook in the wake of the Corona epidemic, as people work ten hours a day online and engage in long video conferencing. Starting with 16 GB of memory, the book has a hard disk of up to two terabytes.
